DJ Fazbear And last but not least Days of Thunder, this is an amazing first album for The Midnight it truely shows that they'd continue to be. This is one amazing album and I enjoyed listening to it for the first time by the cassette I had brought from The Midnight store. I cannot wait to see what is released next and see what tracks I end up loving :) Favorite track: Days of Thunder.

justicekesner The Midnights explanation of mono no aware fits Days of Thunder more than any other album of theirs. When I play this album some catharsis is offered for the painful end of "mono no aware" opening a door to eagerness for the future. Today is a special day for me, I finally bought Days of Thunder. 3 years its sat in my wish list being the second oldest album in my wishlist. I don't know why I waited to purchase for so long but all the memories made with this album now come flooding to my mind. Favorite track: Gloria.

about

The Days of Thunder

There is a Japanese term: Mono no aware. It means basically, the sad beauty of seeing time pass - the aching awareness of impermanence. These are the days that we will return to one day in the future only in memories. How do we capture them? How could we possibly be able to fully appreciate them in the present? This project is our attempt to put time under glass.

The Midnight is a marriage between a songwriter from the Deep South and a producer from Denmark who both live in Los Angeles. The songs were written in North Hollywood and Santa Monica over two years and represent the first fruit of The Midnight. This is our love song to our city and a testament to the weight these years can hold.
